Wiehahn, Durban
The Wiehahn Formwork and Scaffolding Durban branch situated in Mount Edgecombe, had outgornw their facility and were looking to expand. Project consisted of a 1300 m2 maintenance facility, a 650m2 administration facility and 19 000 m2 civil yard space including a gate house. Due to Wiehahn Formwork and Scaffolding's large client base in Natal all major contracting forms were keen on the tender. 15 contractors were invited to tender, all contractors references were followed up and reviewed and Rubro Building were appointed.
Construction started on site in May 2009 and is due for completion at the end of November 2009. The Durban Wiehahn Formwork and Scaffolding branch are excited about their move into this bespoke facility.
The professional team consisted of GM Quantity Surveyors, Jan Ras Architects Group and Moroff and Kuhn Consulting Engineers and QDP Lighting and Electrical Design.
